UKC Announces the Addition of Another Performance Event

Kalamazoo MI, May 19, 2010 – United Kennel Club, Inc., is pleased to announce that our UKC Lure Coursing Rules and Regulations have been completed and approved, effective May 1, 2010, and the new program will begin in the very near future with the sanctioning of lure coursing meets.

UKC Licensed Lure coursing Meets may include Regular Stakes, open to all the Sighthound and Pariah Group breeds, as well as the Italian Greyhound, which is in the Companion Dog Group; and/or Coursing Aptitude Tests, open to all breeds and all mixed breed dogs with a UKC Limited Privilege number.

Existing UKC Licensed clubs may send a request to add Lure Coursing Meets to their schedule of events. Along with the request should be a short resume giving the club's expertise in the holding of lure coursing meets. Existing lure coursing groups that wish to become a UKC Licensed Lure Coursing club should contact the Dog Events Department (100 E Kilgore Rd, Kalamazoo MI 49002, 269-343-9020; fax 269-343-7037, e-mail dogevents@ukcdogs.com for details, or send in a completed application form available at http://www.ukcdogs.com/WebSite.nsf/WebPages/DEClubsHowToForm.
